Hi, Co worker has this laptop that started BSOD a while back. We tried to run a restore and it would not complete and then it become even more inoperable. He didn't have restore disks so he contacted HP and he purchased a USB stick with the recovery software on it. The machine will boot from the provided USB drive and it can: 1. format the drive 2. Copy the files to the hard drive when it reboots for the first time, it just goes into the infinite loop giving the following error: "Your pc ran into a problem an needs to restart, were recovering some error info and we will restart it for you." IRQ LESS THAN iaSTORA.sys This has a 5ooGB drive and a 32GB SSD . I ran the built in diagnostics for the ram and hard drive and the quick test shows they are functional. The OS on the USB drive sent by HP apparently is Windows 8 from what I understand. Any help trying to get past this everlasting error loop would be great. Please Help.
